The Shearers Quarters are located at Titirangi Farm in the outer Marlborough Sounds, offering spectacular views of Chetwode, Stevens, and D'Urville Islands. Perched on a hillside overlooking an expansive sandy beach, the property provides easy boat launching access directly from the shore and includes one certified mooring.

The quarters sleeps up to 24 guests across three double rooms, and two bunk rooms, one with 12 beds and the other with 6 beds. There are two shower blocks with a total of five showers and four toilets. Relax in the cosy log-fired lounge and, even in winter, enjoy watching orcas and dolphins from the comfort of the house. Whether you’re exploring the Sounds, spending time on the water, or simply unwinding in the peaceful surroundings, Titirangi Farm offers a truly unique and memorable stay.

About the Farm and Surroundings

Titirangi Farm is a 900-hectare working property in the remote outer Marlborough Sounds, where you can enjoy the sight of cattle and sheep grazing on the steep hillsides. You can even cast a line from the rocks to catch in-season Blue Cod, Snapper, or Gurnard for dinner. The area is rich in wildlife, with Blue Penguins, Tui, and Bellbirds often seen and heard around the property.

As Titirangi Farm is a working property, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of farm operations during their stay. For everyone’s safety, please do not hunt, and check in with the owners before walking or exploring beyond the immediate accommodation area. Your understanding helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
